Sudan secures aid and support from China
June 29, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese president Omer Hassan al-Bashir on Wednesday met with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao in Beijing and discussed the future of their relationship in light of the country’s breakup that becomes official next month.
“Mr Bashir, you are a guest who has traveled from afar, and we welcome you,” Hu said in opening remarks, adding that he hoped the talks would help bolster the “traditionally friendly relations” between the two countries.
The Sudanese leader hailed Hu as a “friend and brother” and thanked him for the “warm welcome and treatment” he had received since arriving in Beijing on Tuesday
Both leaders also witnessed signing of an agreement between the state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and Sudan’s Oil ministry to advance oil and gas cooperation.
Sudan’s foreign minister told reporters at a press conference in Beijing today that his country will receive hundreds of millions of dollars in aid as a result of Bashir’s visit.
Karti said they received Chinese assurances that they do not support the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant issued for the Sudanese leader and that they promised to seek to mend ties between Khartoum and the West.
The Sudanese top diplomat said that China and CNPC in particular pledged more investments in Sudan but declined to give exact figures. He added that the oil giant is especially interested in oil exploration projects in the North.
“We are now in need of Chinese support because the West instead of supporting us is now doing what I can describe as a challenge” Karti said.
China has major oil investments in Sudan and has long had close ties with the leaders of the North. It has been courting support in the oil-producing South, which becomes an independent country on July 9.
While most of Sudan’s oil lies in the South, the pipelines and the transporting port are in the North. The two governments are still negotiating how oil wealth will be shared.
Analysts say that that recent North-South clashes in the border states will concern China for fear that its oil supply will be disrupted.

This is China with Al Bashir chewing sticks and Carots. Well, that is good for the north and perhaps the South but what will happen if the South also contracts a Petroleum Company to drill in Aby and transport through the Port Sudan?
Kurti is a thief who always delight in big figures but let them open up eyes to keep the economy for the North not to collapse due to the South’s seperation.

Be honest to tell the whole world that, I am doing this with North or South, simply because we can not be friends again after our independent. U can’t say I want North, and South while they will be enemys and U did play great role during the War to fight the South.
We are poor but it does not prevent us from looking for another patner since U become too close with North we shall also try to take U as enemy either.
China U have played great role to prevent us to acheive our independent, but we have done it in your eyes and I don’t U will be a good future friend since U were noe 1 enemy to us.

Bahser don’t laugh like a dog which has found born on ground just you should have to be careful otherwise you will be caught up one day like rat with hungery cat. Those Chinese are thugs who do not know where to go in this planet, because their motive is only on money that is why they received you as if you are their God. Now which oil were you been talking about and South is now going away with its oil, do you really think that we shall give you chance again to invest or search for bilitrial relationship again with other countries on South Sudanese oil? I hope GOSS will not tolerate that once more because you have used it before during war time and now you were trying very hardly to use it again while we are present i wise that could not be allow by goss. You rely on your own national strategical commodities because this oil is belong to South and not Sudan again as whole so it is Southerners to take the responsibility of its oil and should not be you again like before when we were still in bush. Shame on Basher with his treacherious government of murder and rape of innocent and unhelpless people of southern Sudan and darfurs.
