Inter-school sports competition kick off in Lakes state
August 3, 2012 (RUMBEK) – The South Sudan national senior secondary school sports competition began in Rumbek, the capital of Lakes state on Thursday.
South Sudan vice president Riak Machar, visited Lakes state on Thursday morning and open the competitions.
On Friday the Warrap and Unity state male volleyball took place at the Ager-gum ground. Warrap won the match with three points to one.
Women’s volleyball took place between Yambio and Rumbek/Warrap, which Yambii lost with zero points to three.
In male basketball held in Rumbek Freedom Square, Rumbek beat Jonglei with 47 points to 41 and Warrap beat Juba with 77 to 65.
