November 8, 2014 (WAU) – A three-day forum to review government achievements and development challenges is due in South Sudan’s Western Bahr el Ghazal state next week.
“This is the first the region will sit down to review its achievements and challenges faced at the counties, payams and bomas,” state finance minister, Lilian Rizik disclosed.
The event will bring together five representatives from three counties of Raja, Wau and Jur River. There will also presentations from Wau town municipal council members.
“This is a platform where citizens will get to interact with the state government and share challenges facing the region,” said Rizik.
The state governor, Rizik Zackaria Hassan, will open the forum on accountability, transparency and responsive government.
