He stressed China’s support and its interest in achieving peace and stability in the region, especially in South Sudan.

Chinese companies have huge investments in oil fields both in north and south Sudan.

Recent weeks have witnessed verbal escalation between Khartoum and Juba with both countries exchanging accusations.

Sudan threatened to pursue Darfur rebels operating inside South Sudan if the latter does not stop rendering aid and assistance to them.

Juba described this threat as an explicit declaration of war.

Jianhua said his country was looking forward to further cooperation with Sudan in the political, economic and security fields, especially that the two countries share a special relationship, underscoring what he described as consensus between the leaderships of the two countries in many regional and international issues.

He said that the coming period will witness greater cooperation with Sudan adding that he listened to a number of theses presented by Bashir on regional issues in the political and security aspects.
