N. Bahr el Ghazal governor broadens advisory team

January 1, 2015 (JUBA) – The governor of South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal state, Kuel Aguer Kuel has appointed five advisors, making them eight in numbers.

Kuel, in a decree issued Wednesday, named former state assembly speaker, Monica Achol William Amoi as minister for cabinet affairs.

Ayak Zachariah Ngor, the outspoken head of the womens’ union in the state, was appointed advisor for women’s affairs in the state. Ngor earlier complained about the gender imbalances within Northern Bahr el Ghazal government.

Meanwhile, Kuel also named Mary Ayat Unguech as advisor for girl child education.

Also appointed were Santo Ayuel Akuei as state advisor for sport, Deng Dhieu Nyiwel for local government and Joseph Garang Chan for urban water development in the state.
