Imatong state governor names cabinet

February 27, 2016 (TORIT) – The governor of South Sudan’s ‘Imatong state’, Loluke Manir on Friday named his ministers, county commissioners and state advisors.

Margaret Itto, the former Eastern Equatoria state’s health minister was appointed deputy governor while Josephine Abalang, a member of South Sudan’s national assembly, will oversee the information and youth ministry.

The ministerial list also includes Albino Okeny (finance and public service), Jacob Atari (education), Gaetano Agalik (agriculture) as General Okidi Moi Ogwaru take over the local government and law enforcement ministry.

The health ministry, Sudan Tribune understands, will be occupied by a member of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) during the yet to be established South Sudan’s Transitional Government of National Unity (TGoNU).

Also appointed were new county commissioners like Ben Kingstone Loduk for Magwi while Emilio Igga takes over Pageri county. Others are Salvatore for Ikotos, Claudio Opwonya for Kidepo and Vigilio Ikuru for Torit counties.

According to the new order, Okal Kwany and Sevarino Oful will lead the former twin administration of Lafon and Imehejek, soon to be counties.

Meanwhile Kanuto Ibeke was appointed advisor on political affairs, Paul Omoyo for Security and Lamton Labak for peace and reconciliation.

The governor cautioned the appointees against corruption and human right abuses.
