Traffic accident kills 15 people in northern Sudan

KHARTOUM, Oct 11, 2004 (Xinhua) — A total of 15 people were killed and 25 others injured in a traffic accident in northern Sudan on Monday, the official SUNA news agency reported.

The accident occurred when a bus on its way from Khartoum to Dongula tried to overpass a car and then had a head-on collision with a truck 200 km north of Khartoum, Director General of Traffic Administration Mohamed Abdulmajid Attayib was quoted as saying.

He added that the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
