Sudan is ready to respond to any Libyan mediation with Eritrea: FM
KHARTOUM, Nov 6, 2004 (SUNA) — Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail has affirmed the government readiness to cooperate with any effort of Libya for mediation between Sudan and Eritrea.
Responding to a question by journalists on a Libyan mediation between Khartoum and Asmara, Ismail said that the government has no details about this mediation, adding that such mediation should be on clear-cut basis.
He said that Sudan has certain security blames to Asmara, indicating that there would be no problem in normalizing the relations between Khartoum and Asmara if these blames were resolved.
The minister said that the government is ready for dialogue with the [rebel] groups of east Sudan.
