TUNIS, Nov 11 (Reuters) – The African Development Fund, the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) soft lending arm, has lent Eritrea $20.38 million to finance an education scheme, AfDB said on Thursday.
Eritrea also got a $7.53 million Fund grant to complement the financing of the same project involving the construction of 349 new classrooms to improve access to basic and secondary education, it added.
Meanwhile, Benin won a $15.8 million loan from the Fund to finance a water supply scheme in remote areas where access to water is still difficult, AfDB said.
