Saudi interior minister arrives in Sudan for security talks

KHARTOUM, March 22 (AFP) — Saudi Arabia’s interior minister, Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, arrived on a three-day visit during which he will hold security talks with Sudanese officials.

He said his talks with Hussein and others would cover various topics, “including terrorism,” and that an anti-terrorism cooperation agreement would be clinched during his stay.

“All countries should join hands in fighting terrorism,” the minister said, noting that Sudan “is among countries fighting terrorism.”

Hussein hailed the prince’s visit as important and said the pair would discuss issues of mutual concern, among them politics, economy and trade, and “not only the security cooperation.”
