India to send delegation to Donors’ Conference on Sudan

NEW DELHI, Apr 9, 2005 (Xinhua) — Indian Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed will lead a delegation to the Donors’ Conference on Sudan to be held in Oslo Monday, the Indo-Asian News Service reported on Saturday.

The conference is a follow-up to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed between the government of Sudan and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement on Jan. 9 at a Nairobi meeting, also attended by India.

The Oslo Conference is an initiative taken by the international community for the development and capacity building of Sudan in various sectors.
