Hussein Suleiman Abu Saleh, chairman of the Liaison Committee political forces not represented in the government of the Office of the National Constitutional Review reduced the points of disagreement over a draft electoral law which has been narrowed down to 60% geographical ratios and 40% of women with a relative and her nomination is in a separate list, or proportional system within one on the list.
Abu Saleh requested that UNHCR expedite the submission of the election bill to the Council of Ministers in preparation for the lifting of the national legislature after the next meeting of the High next Saturday.
Hussein Abu-Saleh said that the United States and Italy, which are currently amending their electoral systems, have tended to adopt proportional representation, which is fair and appropriate for Sudan.
He pointed out that a dispute also arose over the geographical representation, whether to rely solely on the strength of the seat or on the Alaatmam of descent required, which ranges from 5% to 10%, noting that this is not disputable for large parties.
For his part, Dr Ismail al-Hajj Moussa, a member of the Office of National Constitutional Review, expected access to the settlement between the two partners on different points through the six meetings of the Committee, the political supreme executive or the presidential meeting. He said Alhaji Musa (to SUNA) that the dispute obtains its elections to the National Constitution, which defined the geographic 60% 25% Women 15% relative drawing attention to the movement’s 50% of the geography and 50% for a relative.
