May 18, 2025 (AD DOUIEM, White Nile State) – Local sources told Sudan Tribune that fighters from the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) killed one person and injured three in Al-Samra village, part of Um Rimta locality on the west bank of the White Nile.

The RSF remains widely spread on the west bank of the White Nile, while the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) are deployed along the eastern bank.

The sources reported that RSF fighters launched consecutive attacks on Sheikh Al-Siddiq villages in western White Nile.

Al-Shatib, Al-Sariha, and Al-Hujairab villages, part of Al-Qutaynah locality, were subjected to consecutive looting and theft operations by the RSF and local gangs.

The RSF launch attacks on villages periodically to loot consumer goods, livestock, money, phones, and satellite internet devices.

Over the past days, Al-Akadab, Al-Alqa, Al-Samra, Al-Shawaf, and Al-Khairat villages, part of Um Rimta locality, were subjected to similar attacks.

Waves of looting and theft forced residents of the western White Nile areas to flee, and an eyewitness told Sudan Tribune that groups of residents had been displaced to Rahila Island.

Residents of western White Nile areas complain about the scarcity and high prices of basic goods. Local sources reported that the SAF imposes strict restrictions on goods reaching West White Nile areas where the RSF control.
