August 26, 2026 (KHARTOUM) – The Central Bank of Sudan launched an electronic system on Wednesday to monitor foreign capital and investments, aiming to advance digital regulatory oversight and stabilize the country’s monetary system.

The Electronic Capital Flows System, run by the central bank’s foreign exchange administration, is designed to record and regulate both incoming and outgoing foreign capital.

The central bank said in a statement that the platform automates administrative procedures for foreign investors and enables online tracking of transactions through its portal.

The system creates a unified foreign investment database that covers investor profiles, economic sectors, source nations, capital volumes, and transaction flows to improve balance-of-payments reporting and guide policy decisions.

Central bank authorities said the tool will track the complete transaction cycle of foreign investments, including capital registrations, profit remittances, loan servicing, and capital repatriations.

Commercial bank employees have completed operational training on the platform ahead of its nationwide rollout.
