Sudanese leader to attend inauguration of Iran’s president-elect
August 1, 2013 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese President Omer Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir will fly to Tehran this week to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of president-elect Hassan Rohani, Iran state media reported.
Iranian Parliament’s Director-General for Protocols Seyed Mohammad Yasrebi told FNA that 10 presidents, 3 prime ministers, 5 parliament speakers and 6 foreign ministers have already confirmed their participation.
“Presidents of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Turkmenistan, Guinea Bissau, Togo and Tajikistan have announced that they will take part in Rouhani’s inauguration ceremony,” Yasrebi said.
He noted that parliament speakers of Russia, Venezuela, Algeria, Azerbaijan and Congo will also participate in the Iranian president-elect’s inauguration ceremony on August 4.
