Sudanese army claims destruction of 224 RSF combat vehicles
June 30, 2026 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese army announced on Tuesday it has destroyed approximately 224 combat vehicles belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), along with ammunition and fuel depots, over the past two weeks.
The military operations were carried out across five states, highlighting the intensifying conflict between the two warring factions.
Both sides have increased their reliance on drone strikes in recent months, with heavy aerial activity reported in the Kordofan, Darfur, and Blue Nile regions, as well as White Nile state.
These drone attacks have resulted in dozens of civilian casualties and severe damage to public infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and water facilities.
A military spokesperson said in a statement that the armed forces and allied groups achieved continuous field successes between June 15 and June 30.
The army claimed it destroyed 224 combat vehicles, seized 36 others, shot down an advanced drone, and destroyed two tanks, five trucks loaded with military equipment, and four fuel tankers.
The operations also led to the destruction of two ammunition dumps and two fuel depots, according to the statement.
In the North Darfur axis, the army conducted operations in the Abu Qamra area, destroying 39 combat vehicles and inflicting personnel losses on the RSF, while also downing a strategic drone north of Al-Tawisha.
Another military operation in Kulbus and surrounding areas in West Darfur state resulted in the destruction of 10 combat vehicles and the seizure of 29 fully equipped vehicles.
In North Kordofan, the spokesperson said ongoing combing and securing operations destroyed 119 combat vehicles, four fuel tankers, five trucks of military hardware, and two fuel depots.
Operations in South Kordofan destroyed 27 combat vehicles and killed several RSF fighters, the statement added.
In the Blue Nile axis, the army announced it seized control of the Sarkam and Maqja areas after fierce battles, destroying 29 combat vehicles and two tanks, while capturing seven other vehicles and destroying two ammunition depots in El Damazin.
The military spokesperson emphasized that operations would continue until the army secures the entire country and restores stability across Sudan.
