Egypt supports Sudan’s AU chairmanship

Jan 20, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit has affirmed Egypt’s support to Sudan’s chairmanship of the African Union (AU) for the coming session.

The Egyptian minister described in a statement to Sudan News Agency the Sudanese-Egyptian relations as excellent, referring to the deep-rooted bonds of fraternity linking the peoples of the two countries.

He pointed out that there are no obstacles impeding the relations between the two countries.
