South Sudan’s Health minister suspends Undersecretary
October 20, 2021 (JUBA) – South Sudan’s Health minister, Elizabeth Acuai Yol has suspended the ministry’s Undersecretary, Dr Victoria Anib Majur from her duties.
In a ministerial order that was issued on Wednesday, Yol directed that a disciplinary board be formed to investigate the former Undersecretary and report to the minister within 90 days as per the Civil Service Act and Regulations.
The minister appointed Dr Samson Paul Baba to serve as Acting Undersecretary.
“The Acting Undersecretary for the Ministry of Health is hereby directed to take the necessary measures to implement the order,” partly read’s the directive.
Disagreements emerged between the Health Minister and the Undersecretary after the latter re-assigned directors at the ministry without notifying the former.
