Are any SPLA soldiers stationed in Duk County? It is unjustifiable if SPLA have no presence there and civilians are attacked by these unknown gunmen. If this attack is confirmed that General Athor behind it, then general Athor is coward and afraid to face SLPA soldiers and he’s runing after easy targets (civilians) to claimes his victory. No killing of innocent people please, and no more war please. Thanks

GOSS leadership needs to revise their policies; the current policies are not peaceful for wellbeing of South Sudan. Those dead-polices need to be revised as soon as possible for peace to prevail in South Sudan.

Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don’t want war; neither in uganda, nor in Kanya, nor Tanzania, nor in Ethiopia. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. may our leaders thinks high? this is Kuol’s right time to take action on the situation.

BREAKING NEWS: Unknown gunmen attack Jonglei’s Duk
Whereas the world expects the people of south Sudan to finally reap fully the peace dividends, having overwhelmingly voted for secession, our blind, illiterate and war mongering president Kiir declared an all out war against those he mischievously made disgruntled, at the expense of peace. As the saying goes once a thief will always remain a thief, Kiir being a killer during the bush struggle, will not comprehend peace, hence his persistent pursuit of war. Surely kiir doesn’t feel the plight of his people, that’s why much as news of civilians dying in tens continue tickling in, the old dude is not willing to call for a peaceful resolution to the problem at hand or is he waiting for the citizens to die in thousands before making a u turn. Let nobody be deceived that this militias are going to be defeated easily, coz Athor is also an expert of the jungle, as history exemplifies during the bush war against the Arabs. Kiir ur fighting spirit should not continue at the expense of the civilians who die daily, while you enjoy luxurious life in safety
