Al-Bashir lauds role of Sudanese Copts in national unity
KHARTOUM, Nov 3, 2004 (SUNA) — President of the Republic Omer Al-Bashir has lauded the role of the Coptic sect in boosting national unity.
President Al-Bashir was addressing a Ramadan breakfast banquet held by the Coptic sect at the Coptic Library in Khartoum North Tuesday.
President Al-Bashir said the occasion reflects national unity, religious coexistence and social peace in Sudan.
President Al-Bashir referred to the role of Copts in the national movement.
The occasion was also addressed by Minister of Guidance and Endowments Isam Ahmed Al-Bashir, Alanba Elia Bishop of Omdurman and Khartoum and representative of the Coptic Library Nadir Bakheit.
